Deposit items are typically containers that customers can return to the store after consuming their contents. Bottles and soft drink cans are common examples. When customers bring these deposit items back, they receive an empties coupon. The value of this coupon is deducted from their next purchase, encouraging repeat visits to the store.
Steps to perform a deposit return:
Open the RETAIL7 app.
Enter your login data and log in.
Open the Favorites menu.
Navigate in the Favorites menu using the sliding bar.
Select Return deposit.
The deposit return mode is now activated. Here, all deposit articles can be registered. At the end of the transaction, the customer receives an empties receipt.
Note: Only items configured as deposit items in the Management Console can be registered. The fastest way to register items is by scanning their barcode.
Register all required deposit items.
Click End deposit mode.
If no transaction was open before, the deposit return automatically opens one. A negative sum (the deposit item value) appears at the top. The transaction can then be continued, directly offsetting the deposit amount.
Continue the transaction.
In stores where drinks or other items are sold in bottles or cans with a deposit, this process explains how to return deposit items at the cash register.
